Fees
A marketplace only works if both sides know exactly what it costs before they commit.
No fees are being collected. There are no payments, escrow deposits or payout transactions on CLIP today.
Intended model
- ▸Creators keep 100% of the reward amount their clips earn
- ▸A platform fee is taken from the campaign pool when the campaign settles, not from creator rewards
- ▸Solana network fees apply to any on-chain transfer and are outside CLIP's control
- ▸Unspent pool funds return to the campaign owner when a campaign ends
Why no number yet
Publishing a fee percentage before escrow exists would be a guess dressed as a commitment. The exact rate will be published here, on the create-campaign flow and in the campaign terms before any pool can be funded.
What will never happen
- ▸Silent changes to a fee after a campaign is funded
- ▸Fees deducted from a reward a creator has already earned
- ▸Hidden spreads on reward conversions
